If you would like to volunteer, we would love to have your help. As many of you noticed, in May we had to cancel Fried Chicken Night because we didn’t have enough help. Too many of our wonderful volunteers have been cooking multiple meals for several years and some of them are getting a little burned out. We would love to have fresh faces, and ideas in the kitchen. Please call the Lodge at 632-9579 and let us know what you would like to help with. - Laura Pate Sr Regent

A Message from your Senior Regent
Hello Sisters and Brothers, Let’s hope July brings some sunshine, June was a very wet month. Thank you so much to everyone that helped get the playground equipment moved from the Zak’s house to the Moose Lodge. It looks wonderful in it’s new home. Next we will work on getting it fenced and mulched. We are hoping to get the horseshoe pits moved before the 4th of July, so we can have our Independence Day tournament in the new pits! Mel, is doing her 9th Annual Poker Run this month, on the 15th! Thank you Mel Darby for always hosting this super fun event for all of us. You don’t have to ride a bike to attend. Roxi’s jeep went topless last year and we had a couple other vehicles join in the fun as well. All are welcome. The Father’s Day buffet was a huge success. Thank you Roxi Taylor for the fun Moose Lodge 257 decals that we gave out to the men. The chapter will be selling these and the WOTM decals for $5.00 each. The Chapter will be back to their normal breakfast schedule, and have full menu breakfasts on the 2nd and 4th Sunday’s of the month. Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers that make this, and all of the meals possible!

A Letter from the Administrator
Hello Brothers and Sisters! It is Vicki Sopr’s first month as administrator so I, Laura Pate, am helping her out by writing the Administrator letter. Vicki seems to be quickly picking up most of the Administrator duties. She is a very talented lady and brings a fresh perspective to Moose Lodge 257. I hope everyone that came out enjoyed the Father’s Day Brunch Buffet that the Chapter put on. It was refreshing to see something a little different with the addition of the salad bar. Thank you Tonya Vossler, Cheryl Timm, Lana Hendricks, Julie Stoner, Libby Phillips and Roxi Taylor! It was Roxi’s idea to add the salad bar to the buffet and adjust the hours. Mel Darby will be hosting her 9th Annual Poker Run on the 15th of the month. Registration will begin at nine and kick-stands up at 10:00am. It is a fun day, and I hope that we will have a great turnout for it. Everyone is invited to “ride”, even if it isn’t on a Bike. Thank you to Dean and Glenda Straub, Don “Trigger” Mathewson and Willi Baldwin for representing our Lodge at International Convention which was held in Reno, NV. Willi Baldwin will be our 2023-2024 Moose Legion Ambassador for the Wyoming/Western Nebraska aera!
Give Vicki a big welcome when you see her at the Lodge.
I hope everyone has a happy and safe summer!

Letter from the President
Hello to all the Moose Lodge Members
Well by now, all of you should know that we now have moved the kids play ground area and installed new (to us) playground equipment. We are planning to put ground rubber mulch under the set. Also, in the same area we will move the horse shoe pits and put a fence around both areas. I want to give a great big THANK YOU to the crew that went and brought the play ground to the Lodge and set it up. We have some amazing volunteers. As you know we had elections in June for a Trustee 1. Fernando Escobar won, and soon will be installed. Welcome back to the board Fernando. We have a lot of fun planed for this summer, so be sure and read the newsletter and check the calendars. Some of the meals have been changed and new ones have been added. We still need a few more volunteers to help in the kitchen and some to do some work outside. If any of you have some ideas, please use the suggestion box by the front door. Do not forget we will be having a lot of fun and games going the month of July, so come out and have some fun and see some old friends (or make new friends). The Moose International Convention in Reno was held 19-23 June. I attended and will bring new information back, hopefully some we can use.
