October 2018
International Open House Day – October 27th
Moose International has designated Saturday, October 27, 2018 as “International Open House Day” for lodge homes throughout the Fraternity. This date corresponds with Founder’s Day, which celebrates the birth of James J. Davis, the driving force who brought purpose and meaning to the Fraternity during its earliest stages.
The activities the Cheyenne Lodge and Chapter have designated for our Founders day celebration consist of:
Moose International Founders day presentation to include videos and information about the Moose Organization. Friends and family to include non-members are welcome to attend from 1:00-3:00. This is an open to the public event.
Spaghetti Dinner will be served from 5:30-7:00 with a side salad and garlic bread. Raffles and Silent Auction to be held throughout the evening.
Michael Marrow & The Culprits Band to begin at 7:30 Adult Halloween Party
Proceeds go towards supporting our local lodge, chapter, members, community and Mooseheart and Moosehaven.
Donations of Halloween candy is needed for the children’s party. Also the Lodge and Chapter are having a fund raising opportunity to get the lodge back on track on October 27th. We would appreciate any donations for the silent auction. Thank you!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Fernando Escobar for all the work he has been spearheading in the lodge. The improvements in the dining facility, the new storage room and the entry way, have all made a huge difference in the looks of the lodge.
To all those who have helped out, and you know who you are, thank you. Another example of people taking pride in the lodge and volunteering their time.

Members...ever wonder what to do with all of those Box Tops and Soup labels?? Well, you can donate them to the Moosehaven/Mooseheart programs!! Just look for the Box Top/Soup Label box in the social quarters to donate these items. There are also several other ways to help support our Charities, as pictured below. If you shop at Target, just let them know you are shopping to support Moosehaven/Mooseheart! For all of you Coca-cola drinkers, save those points! Below is just an example of what saving these items can do.
Through the efforts of Lodges and Chapters all over the country, Mooseheart has accumulated 173,709 points toward awards that may include televisions, sports equipment, computers, musical instruments and books. The ini al hope was that our effort would reach 1.5 million points, redeemable for a minivan. Although that goal may seem a bit out of reach at the moment, members are encouraged to continue to clip Campbell product labels and send them in.

Message From Your Senior Regent
Co-Workers,
Hello again, There is a definite chill in the air and frost on the pumpkin.
We have big plans for Founders Day on October 27th. First, we will have the Halloween party for the kids from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. So bring in your little super hero/heroine’s in costume for some fun and games. Then, we will have the Founders Day presentation to the public from 1:00 to 3:00pm. If everyone could bring one friend in to learn about all the good that the Moose Lodge does that would be wonderful! We will have spaghetti dinner from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, and a live band. All of this will be open to the public so that our new friends (and hopefully new members) can dance the night away with us! We will also be having an auction to help raise funds to support the Lodge AND a Halloween costume contest. It will be a Spook-tacular time!
If anyone would like to donate candy for the kids Halloween party we would really appreciate it.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy fall, and we will see you at the Lodge!
