Members...ever wonder what to do with all of those Box Tops and Soup labels?? Well, you can donate them to the Moosehaven/Mooseheart programs!! Just look for the Box Top/Soup Label box in the social quarters to donate these items. There are also several other ways to help support our Charities, as pictured below. If you shop at Target, just let them know you are shopping to support Moosehaven/Mooseheart! For all of you Coca-cola drinkers, save those points! Below is just an example of what saving these items can do.

Through the efforts of Lodges and Chapters all over the country, Mooseheart has accumulated 173,709 points toward awards that may include televisions, sports equipment, computers, musical instruments and books. The ini al hope was that our effort would reach 1.5 million points, redeemable for a minivan. Although that goal may seem a bit out of reach at the moment, members are encouraged to continue to clip Campbell product labels and send them in.

For more information on how you can help, please visit Moose Charities Website

Governor's Message

Cheyenne Moose Lodge

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone's summer is going well. I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who worked so hard to make the mid year conference that we hosted here at the lodge a success. I would like send a special thank you to the Women of the Moose for making this event happen. We couldn't have done it without you all.

Which brings me to another matter that needs to be addressed. For some unforeseen reasons, I am moving to the East Coast in the next week or so. Due to the move, I am stepping down from the governor's position here at the lodge. We are in need of several good gentlemen to step up and fill a few vacancies that we have on the board, including Governor and Junior Governor. There will be a special election held in the next few weeks. Please make time to stop by the Lodge and vote.

We are finding that there is a lack of participation from the Members of the Moose. We have the same volunteers stepping up and doing the majority of our functions. I've mentioned it the past couple of months and we need to have more volunteers to keep the lodge going. So please do your part and volunteer. I thank you and the Moose thanks you. I believe the lodge is an awesome place and it could use your help.

It's been a pleasure of working on the board for the last 3 years , I wish nothing but the best for the Cheyenne Moose.

Scott Simko

Governor

Message From Your Senior Regent

Cheyenne Moose Lodge

Co-Workers,

The Mid-Summer Conference was a blast. I want to thank all of our wonderful volunteers who made the conference such a success. From the decorations and centerpieces to the wonderful meals, we couldn’t have done it without you. Whether you are a long-time volunteer or if you got involved fairly recently, it is important for you to know that what you do makes a difference. Your hard work is greatly appreciated.

Wendy Bails was announced as the Woman of the Moose for the month of September! Thank you Wendy for all of your hard work on the calendar, web-site, meals and everything you do for us.

We are rolling into Fall and cool weather. October-fest is being planned for September 29th. Come join us for some tasty cabbage burgers!!

I don’t know many members by name so when you see me at the Lodge please come up and say “Hello”. I am bad at remembering names but I will try my best. I would like to get a chance to meet you.

Hope you have a wonderful month and I look forward to seeing you at the Moose!!
