July 2018
Letter to members from Mel the bartender:
First and Foremost, I would like to thank all of the Volunteers. I could not have run the event without all of your help!
Thank you to everyone who joined in on the 6th Annual Poker Run and supported the Mooseheart/Moosehaven Charities. WOW!! What a wonderful turnout! The final tally on funds raised for the foundations was a whopping total of $1112.00!!! Again, thank you to each and every one of you that contributed to make this event a huge success!
With this 2018’s Run over and in the books, we have already started planning the 7th Annual Moose Poker Run for 2019! So, mark your calendars for July 13, 2019.
Hope to see you all back again next year,
With gratitude,
Melvin
Members...ever wonder what to do with all of those Box Tops and Soup labels?? Well, you can donate them to the Moosehaven/Mooseheart programs!! Just look for the Box Top/Soup Label box in the social quarters to donate these items. There are also several other ways to help support our Charities, as pictured below. If you shop at Target, just let them know you are shopping to support Moosehaven/Mooseheart! For all of you Coca-cola drinkers, save those points! Below is just an example of what saving these items can do.
Through the efforts of Lodges and Chapters all over the country, Mooseheart has accumulated 173,709 points toward awards that may include televisions, sports equipment, computers, musical instruments and books. The ini al hope was that our effort would reach 1.5 million points, redeemable for a minivan. Although that goal may seem a bit out of reach at the moment, members are encouraged to continue to clip Campbell product labels and send them in.

Governor's Message
Hello to all!
I want to wish everyone a Happy and Safe summer! Please make the time to take a few extra minutes and steps for checking out the safety equipment on your vehicles, campers, boats and ATVs. Just a couple minutes can make the difference in ensuring that everyone has a safe return.
With the warm weather in mind, and everyone wanting to spend time out- doors, I ask you to please continue to support the Lodge and our dinners and breakfasts. I would also like to take this time to thank all of our volunteers who make these dinners and breakfasts possible. We couldn’t do it without you and you taking time out of your busy lives to keep the Lodge going. If anyone would like be a volunteer, please step up. The same small group of volunteers we have would appreciate the help of more people.
I am looking forward to the upcoming year, and will be doing my best to continue making the Lodge a success and a great organization to belong to.
Thanks, and again, I hope everyone enjoys their summer!
Scott Simko

Message From Your Senior Regent
As Summer goes on, we all get super busy trying to get all of our summer activities in, including the 4th of July and Cheyenne Frontier Days.
Don’t forget that we still have awesome meals at the Moose Lodge this month. If you have friends or relatives from out of tome ,bring them as your guests. They’ll enjoy good food and can check out the Lodge and what we are doing in our community.
The Mid-Summer Conference is coming up in August. And, the 4th of July barbecue is just around the corner. Hope to see you all there
