Message From Your Governor- Feb 2017

Gentlepeople:

Happy Valentine’s day

Moose Lodge Cheyenne

Please check the calendar for all scheduled activities for the month

Again, thanks to all our volunteers and the wonderful job they do.

Thanks to our paid staff for the excellent job they all do.

There are several activities on tap for Super Bowl Sunday Feb 5th. Moose Legion Breakfast in the morning, a Broom Stick Pool Tournament, and, by request, a Frozen Pit Horseshoe Tournament, and a Pot Luck dinner for the Super Bowl.

Thank you, veterans, and active military for your service and sacrifice Speaking of which, starting the first of this month and continuing through April 30, 2017 The Moose will pay the first-year dues (50.00) and application fee (20.00) for all current service people - military, police, firemen – and veterans of these services. So, if you know any of these please suggest they become a proud member of the Moose Lodge. First Responders Program

It is that time of year that we start taking nominations for 2017-2018 LOOM Board members. Folks this is very important as if are not able to fill the board positions for this coming year there is a strong chance that International will close our doors.

I truly believe we would all like to continue to be able to visit our Moose Lodge and partake of all the delicious meals our volunteers provide month in and month out and the various schedule activities we always plan, such as horseshoes, cribbage tournaments, darts, giant jenga and the soon to scheduled wine and cheese tasting day and other events being discussed and planned.

It doesn’t matter if your 21 or 101 please strongly consider putting your name in the hat for ALL board positions. I would like to think we can make accommodation for any one’s work schedule so please don’t let that be a deterrent.

Our first nominating committee meeting will be near the end of February and hopefully we’ll have a few nominees by then. I believe final nominations will be approved the first of April.

The end of his month, 23rd-26th (no LOOM meetings on the 23rd) is the Mid-Winter conference in Douglas. These events are open to ALL Moose members, not just board members. There is valuable information disseminated, good food, a little partying always in progress and an opportunity to meet wonderful new people. I strongly encourage you to attend if you possibly can. Please see the administrator for registration information.

Thank you, members, for your support, your inputs/suggestions, and your membership.

A lodge for the members, of the members, and by the members.

To be continued…………………

Respectfully,

CJ McCutchen

Governor
